Suprised to see the Andy chez hasnt been given a place in the 1st team squad, seen has hes had a couple of good games on the trot .... and who is Dash playin for because hes down 4 both teams ? Theres one too many backs in that 1st team line-up unless we're trying to sneak an extra player on

Its a squad list not a team selection. Dash is at full back for the Stags.

Good to see Davies back in action and here's a question: how old is Graham Frankland? I can remember playing alongside him decades ago! He must be in his fifties now?

I heard that Andy Chez had a great game last week and that was from various sources.
Hopefully, he'll get a crack at the 1st team soon.

Did Chocky get a game in with the Stags or 3Ams prior to being selected for the 1st team squad?
Whatever happened to proving yourself before being moved up?

Chocky is a must pick player when he is fit. Full stop.

i agree chocky is a great player but as outlined in a players meeting at the start of the season players will have to prove themselves and work through the ranks. i feels like at the moment there is still one rule for one set of players and one for another. it is not as if this weekend we are short of players in that position and chocky playing one game in the seconds when there is no first league fixture would be a massive help to guide some of the younger players through senior rugby after all they are the clubs future.

i am not with this doubting chocky's ability but what message does it send out within the club.

rant over

Agree.
Makes a mockery of having a selection committee really.
Lads pulling their puddings out every week to try to get a chance at the next level and then someone else bypasses 2 teams without playing a game!!
Not surprised if players in the Stags and 3Ams are pee'd off, if this is the way selection works.

How about leaving team selection to the coaches. They have done a good job so far

Not disputing that.
It's about being fair to ALL players.
Policy was stated that you had to prove yourself and work up the teams.

I agree with most of what has been said but to be honest Chocky has only just started training again so whichever teams he is with hed probably only be on the bench and get ten minutes on the pitch . So its not much of an issue this time

This has aways been a difficult one. If Davies had walked straight back into the first team after a long term injury it would have been odd. Getting a run out as a replacement surely makes good sense and that might as well be with the first team.
In my experience there will always be certain key players who are "shoe-ins" and I would ask what people would think if someone like Rob Thorn was injured?
