I am sure both clubs will field strong sides on Boxing Day although following so close on to an important league game it is bound to be more of a fun game.

Sorry will try to expand. Personally i do not think a Boxing Day game should be a friendly affair (on the pitch). They should be trying to knock the snot out of each other for the 80 mins showing pride and passion for their club throughout. Then afterwards share a beer or 3 in the bar

What difference does team selection make to rovers bar takings? Everyone that isn't in the squad will be there drinking so dont really know what SCH is getting at. Its just about tradition and enjoying a good p*** up! Whoever is in the starting 15 for both sides will play to win and that is what people come to see, its not like changing a few regular 1st team players will deeply damage the level of rugby played. At least i know it wont for west (strength in depth you see!!!!)

The only thing that will affect Rovers bar takings is if they start serving Westies who are so fed up of being ignored that they go back to a more friendly club straight after the game.

My God. Have West become so conceited that they think our bar staff actually ignore them on purpose.
Most people on the bar a re staff brought in by our steward - and most of whom don't even know who the rovers players are let alone anyone to do with west.
If you don't like it then all go and sit back in your portakabin.

It is known across the whole world that Rovers bar staff serve the needy (codheads) first before serving those from other parts of the town, which of course is very charitable of them.
