City 31 Driff 15? Looks emphatic to me although nobody at Rovers was impressed by City when we played them. Reckon we'll beat them next time.

My money would be on Driffield finishing second. Not sure why they have lost four games but I wouldn't expect them to be so careless in the second half of the season.

I would say injuries to key players; all of whom should be back in the new year.

Durham City away was the nadir of our season. Any of us watching or playing cannot remember a more abject performance; we look fragile away from home. I really didn't think City were anything to write home about; and am surprised at how they have kept going; hats off to them.

Looking at the other teams I would say we should be the next strongest team in the division, but I would have said that for a few seasons and our form does tend to dip in the run in.

I have a scrum cap; but I'll need that next year so I won't eat it.

Nobody is getting carried away at City but it is nice to be in the position that we find ourselves halfway through the season.Lets see what the second half brings.

Erm, because the winning team were better!

Erm, i'd say you were 3rd best!

My opinion was formed after having see Driffield play over several seasons. They are a well organised team who keep the ball alive and have some very good backs.

They are definitely the best team we have faced at Brinkburn this season with Aspatria not too far behind.

But it is only halfway through the season.

As Wonderfish says you only need a few injuries to upset the applecart.

"If Durham are in the top two a the end of the season I will eat my hat. I don't own one, so will have to buy one in order to eat it."

"I really didn't think City were anything to write home about; and am surprised at how they have kept going; hats off to them"

do you or do you not own a hat it is so confusing

It makes about as much sense as all your other posts.

As you rightly say; i said hats of "to them", which does not imply that I in fact own one to take off but is more of an exhortation for others to recognise their achievement.

I have settled the promotion and relegation issues; just now. I shall post it on a new thread.

Wonderfish

When you buy your hat, get some tomato sauce to make it tastier.
