well now that people are starting to come round and welcoming the idea, which i personally thought was awesome from the moment it was mentioned by saggy.

maybes when the fixtures come out before start of the season, its time to act then, cos everyone will have plenty of notice for rearranging, all clubs have to do is talk amongst those who its gonna effect, such as the players, cos i'd love to be able to watch the west v rovers league games (when points are at stake) cos the boxing day game has lost a little fizz am afraid to say,

but this is also aimed at other clubs who have derby games during the season, cos hartlepool vs seaton will be well anticipated affair this weekend.

but dunno about night games cos i know hartlepool only has one side of the pitch with working floodlights and dont know the servicability of rovers.

but lets get proactive!! and keep it real

There isn't really a valid reason that I can think of that the West v Rovers fixture this season can't be rescheduled for a different time, there are months to organise it, players, ref, check with RFU etc

Ok - it is now Sunday and the day lies ahead after a big Saturday and it must be great - bit of a lie in then pop up to the club for a few beers and relive the highlights or just nurse a hangover and watch a bit of aimless telly.

But all this would now be on a Monday under Saggy's plan - would there still be the same atmosphere and would it really put more on the gate to make it worth it? Is that grim Monday morning feeling worth it?

Not that I am against Saggy's idea - in all fairness there is a lot of merit to it and it ought to be tried, just it is not quite as simple as it may at first appear.

can anyone estimate how many were watching the game yesterday at rovers ??Getting up next morning doesn't seem to be a problem for west seeing at least half of the 1st team were down last sunday coaching the kids.Which was nice to see
