Been browsing round the websites and it looks like Gateshead will provide stiff opposition. They've only lost one game by any sort of margin and that was at Morpeth. They beat Aspatria in their last game and by all accounts really knocked them off their stride.
They also drew at Pontefract so it should be an interesting forwards battle.
Interesting also that City only lost by one point at Aspatria in the cup.

Yes, but what about the woeful defensive record (30 points a game) and the inability to win tight games, also we beat the morpeth side who stuffed them away from home and come to mention it, beaten all the other sides that have beaten them. Your statement is a bit one sided in the facts it presents.

So yes, the game will be competitive and they should be respected and thanked for beating Aspatria, but come saturday they should be treated as a side in the bottom third of the league and be treated as we were in the higher leagues.

Aspatria arrived with similar arrogance. Just a friendly warning.

Silverfox I was just making the point that Gateshead have had a lot of close games and in their last two games have done well: a draw at Pontefract and a win against Aspatria.

that is a west supporter all over you can't say what you have said you top of the league not in a higher league maybe the west lads are playing well but no team in the county will jus laid down because its west hartlepool a havnt seen west or gateshead play yet but one thing a know is if the beat aspatria then they'll be tough up front with some good backs.

why can't west supporters be like the players, the players are not as arrogant as the people who support the club and bet half of them have never wore the shirt.:-!:-!

Disco - you can tell who is a regular user or not by reading the boards.

We have had trouble with non - West fans coming on here and making provocative comments.

What makes your comments appear so childish is that you have taken one UNREGISTERED poster (who may in fact be YOU for all we know) and you have then used these words to have a go at all West fans - when the proper West fan who started it actually said that we ought to be careful against Gateshead.

There will be no arrogance on saturday from any player in the first team squad. we have played Gateshead several times so we know they have some good players, and at the end of the day the arrogance displayed by one individual, west supporter or otherwise is insignificant as it is the attitudes of the players that is important. And if in deed the poster is a west supporter i dont believe that west are the only rugby club that have arrogant supporters with biased opinions.

even if the silverfox is a west fan - does that make him a "typical example of west arrogance" when all the regular west supporters on here have said nothing like that? 1 stupid post against loads of fair ones but obviously that's the one the rovers lot pounce on
