In the days when we were graced wity the presence of Rover and Out and co I remember a heated debate where they claimed that Rovers were and always would be an amateur club.

Your words on Sunday were as to why Kev issued letters about training was, 'the paid players arent training' so if they aint paid why say they are?
I dont mind if Rovers can afford it then good on them, but you cant say you do then you dont pay them.

I believe you have misquoted me.
I said that Kev had been disappointed with training attendances hence the letter and article in the Mail.
I am not in a position to comment on whether lads are getting money or not, only that they are not getting anything from Hartlepool Rovers.

can't believe this old argument has come up again. Players are getting paid to pay for rovers, simple as that. R&O, FRLE etc will just go on and on about how the money is paid by sponsers rather than the club as if that makes some sort of difference. OK, so no money comes out of the club account, but at the end of the day, some people connected with the club are giving people money to play. No big deal, if they want to do that then that's fine, just don't pretend that its not happening.
