Looks like a few of the Rochdale boys were at a wedding. Looking forward to seeing Horden fans take that graciously!!

No doubt they'll be hoping Sunderland prevail in their playoff with York. I'm fairly sure that if York win Horden will have to go into Yorkshire 1.

I think Horden would be churlish to blame yesterdays' result for their downfall, the season is 22 matches long and I think most other clubs in the league would say that the three poorest teams went down.

Given that in their two visits to the league they have gone straight back down perhaps they should look to broadening their playing style?

Tell Hordle not to worry as we WILL ( I hope !) beat York in two weeks !

All very quiet on the Horden website. Nobody has posted for two days - about from somebody who was so committed to the cause that he booked himself on a holiday to Florida! And is spending his time having a pop at smurray :oD

Mr Murray you are only speaking for yourself. Good luck to Horden next season and hope they come straight back up.

I'm sure if Sunderland don't beat York it would be Redcar that move over to Yorkshire 1

I would hate to think we would miss the Horden scran, if they did go to Yorkshire 1. Not many clubs this season can claim to have served up venison to their visitors, and I bet you Westies will miss the legendary broth.

:-P

Not the first time I've heard it will be Redcar who move. I didn't realise it didn't have to be the relegated team that moved.

To be honest I'm hoping Sunderland go up. Would be good to visit Ashbrooke again after several seasons without playing there but Redcar will give us a chance for revenge after they sent us down two years ago.

Well I said my piece on the Rovers board - I agree with SCH for once - think Horden let themselves down with the way the Cup match was handled.

Stan the Camel,

Obviously i wasnt missed when we played Crocs as we beat them (maybe i have been the weak eh)?, as we all admit our ghastly cockup aginst Sheffield has came back to bite us in the arse, but like many things in life S**t happens and you move on!

Can't quite grasp the (wouldnt say hatred but) dislike against Horden from many of the Townies and the bloke from driffield, but we all know its sour grapes with him after getting humiliated at home and stuff!

I think that playing in 4 of the derby games against West and Rovers this season (in my opinion) all played in good spirit and apart from a few fracars that happend, which you expect in derby games, all of the results were fair.

So i take it that all of the twisting that has been going on about the cup game is directed at the club officials not the players? But surely thats old news now and boring.

Also to answer one of the questions someone posted about the City and Rochdale game, i think its fair enough, they were safe in the league and had nothing to play for so the players may have went to a wedding. I personally have no quarms about that, maybe i am too gracious in defeat, but rugby is what i enjoy and Horden is a great social and family club to play for.

Shame we wont be playing you both(West & Rovers) next season.

We can, HBL, and this has been debated on the Rovers board.

I agree we were humiliated at our spot; however I was not part of the debacle.

I have no beef with Hordle as a club, the twice I've been there and won I've found it most welcoming. I do have beef with their style of play which may allow them to bully their way out of DN1 but not survive in N2E.

Glad we cleared that up Wonderfish,

As you have seen on your travels wonderfish, we are a small village and we at times struggle to bring in players and dont have the strength in depth as clubs like yourselves have, so at times when we are struggling with injuries we have to revert to the style of play that enables us to have a chance of winning, sticking it up our jumpers, believe me on a cold winter day its freezing standing out in the backs

As i have said before maybe we are caught in between two leagues, but when at full strength i think that we can play good running rugby maybe you dont like our style of play but on occasions it works and anyway to get 2 points when scraping at the bottom will do.

Horden's first season in N2E, a few years back, was a very successful one if I recall correctly. Didn't you finish 3rd? It was the season after that the struggle began.

Nowt wrong with playing ugly from time to time if it gets you the win. Its a billion times better than playing "attracttive" rugby and losing. Let me get one thing clear there is no such thing as a stylish loss. There is nothing stylish about losing.
