Talk on Saturday was that we may be entering a team to honour the fixture and simply concede the tie. You would have to confirm this with one of our club officials I imagine. I am not the definitive voice on fixture arrangements :-)

He's thick Chris . I post them on here every year.

Crucial issue is Rule 4 about eligibility. It says a player must have played at least one game for the "club" that season to be eligible. The spirit of this is that it is interpreted as a player having played once for the Stags or once for the Heughers or whatever.

The Ams should win it then as half the town have turned out for us :oD:oD:oD:oD:oD

Yeah but you can only play 15 at any one time with 6 replacements

I see whippet racer has started early with the ringer allegations. at the final last year I can remember standing next to a couple of Horden "fans" going through the team sheet calling everyone a first teamer - "who's Butler? I don't know, but he's a first teamer" that's a direct quote.

i think by Horden's reckoning, everyone who's ever played for, watched, or posted a message on here about the 1st team is no longer eligibile for the pyman cup

Hey MikeyBoy ,

if you re-read my post i am sure that you will see that i have not made any allegations, but mearly asking a question if Rovers will be slapping any first teamers in?

I aint twisting for gods sake, we all do it after all many games are played during the week so not everyone is available but as stated in the rules, a team must have five players which shall be trained/experienced in front row positions.

Now to my knowledge some clubs cant always pull 5 trained/experienced front row players out of the hat can they?

But i guess some teams must have 5 trained backs who are experienced front row players:oD:oD:oD:oD:oD

Either way its a good competition and great to watch....
Long live the Pyman cup!!
