Going swimming is first class and just something a bit different.

I think we should be wary about taking the mick 'cos these things come back to bite your bum.

The game will be very different on Saturday to the Boxing Day game.

I would have thought that we would prefer both Horden and Rovers in our league next year seeing as our chances of promotion were realistically blown we seem to have used the wrong tactics at Welfare Park.
Out of the three I would prefer City going down.

I am positive R&O, SCH, FRLE et al would have taken the P if we had posted the same on here!

I was saying no such thing and as my playing days are long passed I don't think I can do anything to influence the result.
I was only speculating that if we win we get two points but if we lose we may still have the benefit of having Rovers in our league next season. I also said the same about Horden if you read it.

Bloody nuisance - Andy Myers and I were going to Mill House tonight to practice our simultaneous diving ready for London 2012. We don't want to be swimming around in there with a lot of mucky rugby players. Looks like the end of the Heugh again.

Andy and the Gateman - "simultaneous diving" ..... that must be the funniest image in ages!!!!! :oD:oD:oD

You would have to get the first dive spot on, cos no water left in the pool after that! :oD

Looking at the weekend's results I'd say there's every chance of you pulling yourselves back into playoff contention, as El Pedro said in his report.

A win this Saturday will further enhance that chance.

Do we want to be in the play-offs?
The club hasn't got the money to travel further afield and we haven't got the strength in depth to move up a league .... and before someone jumps down my throat, this is my opinion.
Cloughie was of the same opinion back in the 60s with Pools. He left, they went up and then they came straight back down!

Yeah I would have thought that promotion to North 1 would have been a good thing. I you come straight back down then so be it, you've nothing to lose and it won't be ruinous to your club from a financial point of view.

The only possible negative aspect to going up is that you might get walloped more often than not which can be rather dispiriting. But having seen you play on a couple of occasions this season I don't see why you shouldn't at least compete with most of the teams in the league above.

i agree that we should be aiming for the play-offs, and if we don't make it, aiming for promotion again next year. if the club had the attitude that "bored stiff" has, whats the point in playing?

Suspect that Bored Stiff isnt anything to do with playing at least not with the first team.
There's no doubt that the coaches and players go out to win every game and will continue to do so..

MB, What "attitude" is that?
Like I said it was my opinion.
I obviously want the club to succeed from from the Minis to the Seniors and am doing more than my bit to help make that happen.
Wanna help?
