Tim has chased Canterbury AGAIN today and is awaiting a reply.

Next season will be a bigger order as a lot of kit will need replacing, so will need organising early. Ive done it before, Tim has done it for the last two years, could those willing to take the job on please register their interest.

Requirements: -

Several meeting with suppliers (in your own time)
Choose Kit
Costs
Gather over 100 players Sizes
Take individual orders
Collect Funds (you may need more than one afternoon for this one)
Take delivery of kit (I had over 600 pieces at my house)
Sort kit into individual packs
All kit never arrives together
Distribute Kit
Collect funds!
Distribute kit for those who dont train
Have a sports shop in your house
Collect outstanding funds
Chase supplier for kit not yet delivered
Take extra orders from people who didnt bother originally
Collect funds
Pay bill (if funds have been collected)
Etc. Etc.

We will probably have to have an interview process to cut the number of applicants!

sounds a nightmare to be honest and i didn't mean to kick anything off initially. all i was after was an answer which has now kindly been provided. Looking at it though Olly, wouldn't the comment made earlier about having a club shop be an easier option?

We do (did) have a club shop on a Sunday Morning ran by the M&Js, but this was overlooked for Senior kit.

It's all well and good people suggesting having a club shop, but volunteers are required!!!!

So I would like to nominate Mr. Quinn and "Rugby98" to run the new shop, since they are vocal about it.

Well done boys :o)

i would love to help but work away so can't. When i am home i do a fair bit for the club to be honest. I know running it takes a lot of hard work

I all seriousness, it is a nightmare job and I dont think having a club shop would make it any easier, as The Spoon says, you would need not one but a few people to run it. Would still need to collect/chase money owed. It would be a full time job during the summer months and beyond.

When I did it I ordered kit in the may/june time, some kit, after continuous chasing, did not arrive until the following Feb.Even now with a multi national company like Canterbury, still waiting for kit!

It is frustrating for those still waiting for polo's etc.Believe me, Tim and Gez will want to see the back end of the Kit saga more than anyone.

Can I quote for stash sometime? UK manufactured jerseys shorts and socks, maybe they can be delivered to you in smaller bundles? scrum@half.fsbusiness.co.uk if I can.
