A good win for the Rovers today..............could have been more comprehensive....see the report later.

Heard Shirley Temple was sent off today for West................

you heard right R&O....myers dismissed for second yellow as was sheffs hooker. both crazy decisions in my view....thought both situations were lucky to even be a penalty let alone a yellow. can't remember a time i saw someone get two yellows....let alone 2 players in one game!
hammer blow if myers is now suspended next week for the big game against boro.

still we got the job done with some good rugby in patches and strong defence when required. surprised sheffield are as low as they are. didn't look too bad a side.

bring on saturday :-)

good result for rovers.

West v Boro should be a cracker and I'm looking forward to getting me pen and notebook back out for a rugby match after a wee break.

Remember the last time West and Boro were in the league together? Two draws. Could be a score draw on Saturday?

Is Marty Howe still playing for Boro? Will be great to watch Howe and Aaron Myers, two great exponents of openside flanker play, on the same pitch.

Was a good win for West on Sat at Sheffield against a bit of a bogey side.

I watched the first 50 minutes of Rovers at Morpeth before having to leave for Glasgae.

Rovers played some excellent stuff. I left moments after the ref (for Westies it was the referee who did you at Old Crossleyans) gave Morpeth a try after Brian Foreman touched down for a 22! Strange one, but it didn't matter in the end.

will Myers get a suspension after getting sent off? or is it different for two yellows?

We have to wait to see if the ref submits a report to the county - he may not bother it just depends - and he'd have 2 to do as he sent their hooker of too.

As both yellows were for alledged :( technical offences sending of is usually sufficient so hopefully.......

I thought you only got a suspension for a straight red?

Surely if a player is sent from the field the club should not play him until he has been notified that he can do so by the disciplinary panel?

it's all in hand Mr Campbell - it's not as if he was sent off for head butting :oP

Weve had a fellow whose received two yellows and sent off this season for " technical offences" we played him until his hearing thinking sending off would be sufficient (even the opinion of the referee) but Yorkshire gave him a two week ban.
