Bitter bitter beaver.

Our foreigners are the same as many english guys are who to OZ for a gap year; do manual labour jobs and play a bit of footy whilst experiening a different culture. Hence some years we get fantastic ones; sometimes not.

I think that is different to clubs such as your self who actually go looking for hired guns to spearhead their team.

I think i understood your opening sentances Wonderfish, i"ll put it down to a thick yokel dialect;-)
Us Beavers are not bitter, were warm, furry, and friendly.
If you go to the trouble of bringing someone over, tourist or not, wouldent it be prudent to find out if there cxxp or not first.
Not much point in filling out the ex.A team .
Now wheres me shades and sun cream, im off to Driff cattle market tomorro to top up on me tan. :-))

I went to visit Driffield on Sunday. Saw the sights then went home.

I was there for 2 minutes before I left.

I happen to think the Wolds and the surrounding area is very pleasant. Nice market towns, good beer and friendly folk and they are not rugby league mad.

Come off it Wonderfish. If Driff are so holier than thou how is it that when we were offered a player from NZ by an agent who wanted his mate to come with him as a package and we turned the mate down the agent told us "never mind he has now been offered a contract by Driffield which I understand is only a few miles from Beverley so it will work"

We didnt accept the player so maybe you didnt get the mate but the point is you were prepared to pay.

To set the record straight we do not go looking for hired guns. We invest and send our coach down every summer to look at players who wish to come here on exactly the basis that you say Driffield get them. We have NEVER used an agent and NEVER paid any overseas player. You may think what you like after the two hidings we gave you last season but that is a fact.
