Best of luck to the lads it's always difficult to lose good players but when they are going to higher standard it is difficult to argue against it, after all it was how West got to the top flight!

Shame about Myers and Lambert.

Only analogy I can think of is ...

Would they rather be "Little Fish in a Big Pond" or "Big Fish in a Little Pond"?

I think the latter would be better for them. They might be swallowed up and deemed ordinary at Mowden. We will see!

Mowden were average at best last season.

Hope these lads are given a fair crack of the whip and do well.

Once again though it doesn't exactly send a poistive message to Mowdens our junior players.

think he should.. he has a lot of good friends at the club and the falcons havent made him go off to play for a new club. to be honest i think he will develop better as a player under the eyes of stubba!!!!

At the risk of agreeing with WPA (and Andy Q) if good players want to progress, then good luck to them and they have to be encouragedbut it is not a decision to be taken lightly. All of a sudden you are driving to training twice a week, a pint after the game is not as simple as it was, you are not playing with mates you have played mini rugby with and who you have grown up with and you are also not playing at a club where you are actually a proper part of the whole set up. It has been said before but rugby is a strange sport and there is a lot to be gained playing week in with 'wise old heads.'

yet again a few westies seem to be more interested in whats going on at rovers than their own club.

Fair play to lads who want to test themselves at a higher leve and if they can make a bit of money then why not.

Doesn't change the fact that the three players leaving were arguably the best performers for west last season. Could be a tough year if they are not replaced.

I wasn't after a bite , just pointing out the facts. and judging by the Rovers thread most of you are more concerned with laughing at our current coaching situation than discussing what you are going to do without the three players who have jumped ship.

There's only been one mention of your coaching situation as far as I can see and lots of moans from WPA about the squad for this season. He should remember that there are a lot of young players coming up who are worth their chance and it looks like Lambert is stopping anyway.

I don't see what piching players has got to do with anything

All I was saying was that if you lose the three players mentioned they will be a big loss and nobody who post on here seems to hbe bothered.

I cant comment on your colts but I didnt really see anyone in the calibre of the above in the stags team we played in the Pyman Cup.

Henry one of the best opensides in the league, now that is a laugh!!

He wouldn't get in Rovers back row, might get a run out for the Heughers though.
