Hang on SCH, anything won by ANY team in the town should be praised ...not belittled:-!

Well,
The County Cup wins means that they are the best in County, and at least one the "daft" festival wins came against teams from the other home nations countries, playing an age group above themselves. And don't denegrate what Rovers have achieved either. Like West, Seaton, Hartlepool and Horden, they have a great set up at youth level. Don't forget it's the Clubs' future, and we should applaud what they've achieved. I think the days of clubs at this level buying mercenaries is gone, and hopefully you and I will be watching these young men at first team level before too long.

Well said Chris,

From what I can gather all of the towns Junior Sections have done well!

There seems to be an ever swelling number of kids at Rovers on a Sunday and the Junior set up work hard with them as well.

Quinny - I'm on about the merit league that the Heughers and the Stags play in - the Stags had an advantage because they played more games than anyone else and you get points in that league for lending your opponents players so you can't really take it too seriously.

The thing is, it is up to you to play as many games as you want. You can't diminish the winning of the League because of that. Why did the Heughers play in this league if they did not try to win it?

Sorry for talking drivel, SCH - though I was just waiting until your stream of utter nonsense had dried up. The big boys don't need defending, though your 'Pyman Cup is second team rubbish' shows your love of the game and the players. Why not show how much you love the game by writing to Ayr, Billingham and Percy Park to inform them there is no place in the game for their 'daft festivals.'

Be fair, DP. Yes he posts too much, yes he is annoying, yes he should stick to his own club board, yes he is barely able to spell hard words, yes he knows nothing about rugby but where would this Board be without him?

That was some bite SCH. Gateman winds you up on your site and you bite on here! Well done gateman !!

CB - take DP's advice. Stop encouraging the Gateman. Before you know it you will be sucked into his round which will be pretty ruinous. Without wishing to denigrate his Yorkshire roots, put it this way: If you were in a round in a foreign town with the Gateman and there were 2 expensive pubs and two of his adored Wetherspoons (cheap and no music!) where do you think you would end up getting them in?

Sorry guys but call me a boring **** but take a look at yourselves in Hartlepool. You are a town with a great rugby tradition that has had its ups and downs over the years, yes some of the comments are for wind ups, a good crack etc but too many are too serious. Coming from a football mad city Sunderland ( God knows why with their consistent poor performance ! ) , rugby is always second best. You as a town have so much. Yes have banter but support each other if possible ! Long live rugby ! Good night I will go to bed with my co coa and dream of a Sunderland that has as many rugby followers and clubs as you lot collectively have !
