it certainly was! i've just left the lads to celebrate as i've had to shoot straight to work(gutted). we scored in the last minute of normal time to take it to extra time and then in the last minute of extra time to clinch it. It was awsome. I'd like to be the first to say that Tom Dixon and Gav Painter were outstanding. I'm sure Gav is going to be one to watch out for next season and it's a real shame Tom is so good at football and wont be available next year. Well done lads!

'Unreal' ....... pffffft.....is that the word :-|

Well done to West though. Take nothing away from them, they were just as good as Horden on the night. Im sure even the most biased of eyes can see what happened tonight though. :-)

well done stags a few mistakes for both sides young painter was nearly decapitated yet the penalty went to horden so you win some you loose some both teams can be proud of the effort they put in tonight the only thing to mar the game was the west support at the end when the try was scored.

'young painter was nearly decapitated yet the penalty went to horden'

Is that the young lad who ducked into the tackle? :-)

I honestly think I would have took displeasure too, not quite as much as him, but I would have been annoyed. Im sure you would have been, had the shoe been on the other foot. :-)

o and for the record...i did think celebrations at the end were uncalled for. too many 'hangers on' on the touchline who took it a step too far

That Wests 1st try?? I couldn't really give an opinion, I was stood in the opposite in-goal area. Although the opinions of our supporters from up in that corner was that it was a fair and square try.

I thought Chris Wray (sp?) had a good game up until his final and most important decision. Thought the touch judge on the side where the Horden supporters were stood didnt have a bad game. And well then, erm...yeah that will do....

I didnt get the chance to watch the first half although, what i seen of the 2nd half and extra time i thaught it was a very entertaining game and both sides played well with wests fitness eventualy winning them the game.

Evening all

I'm sure I can pass comment on this match by virtue of being a neutral supporter.

West had two chances and scored twice, doing a West v Rovers they do so in the last minute of normal time (48th minute of the 2nd half) and the last minute (14th) of the second period of extra time). Masthead misses the normal time con and Emu the extra time one, Sonny Wallis having fluffed a few kicks and gone off injured. In fact he didn't seem fit at all. Cue gnashing of teeth by all Hordleonians. The Rovers in the crowd wonder if Mr Wray's watch is also the same make as Mr Richardson's, Mr Candlish's and Mr Hodgson's?

West monopolise the penalty count much to the chagrin of the Hordle fans who I was brave enough to stand amongst (it was better than standing with the Westies)

Chris Wray indicates advantage for Hordle on half way right on extra time full time but then for some strange reason lets play go on and, seconds later, awards West a lineout on the Hordle 22 from where they score. Cue cries of cheat directed at Dave Sawyer the touch judge on that side. (Curiously Mr Sawyer doesn't venture onto the Hordle side of the pitch all night!)

Cue massive punch up.

Earlier Hordle lose two to the bin and West one, one of the Hordle's being Junior Banana (Karl Hartley).

The said Junior nana starts fighting with Top Banana (Nigel Hartley) when West score their first try!

Phil Henderson stamps on a Hordle player off the ball and, I'm guessing, assuming he knows he'll be getting a red card walks off and is subbed. By the time Chris Wray gets a handle on events, he's off the pitch and gets away with it....cue more Hordle booing and hissing.

A Hordle player lamps a Westie either in the stomach or, seems more likely from his reaction, his groin area and needs to be tended by the Hordle obligatory female physio. By the time West Girl gets round he's ready to resume.

There was also an interesting spat between PC Plod Groves and the Hordle coach over suggested tactics when Hordle are a man down. Jonty wants a forward pulling into the backs but the coach is having none of it and tells Groves to 'mind your ?!$%£&* business!'

The same Hordle coach threatens to sort Henderson out.

He also subs Hordle's best forward (just shading Goosey Tait) Steve Black and thereafter the Hordle lineout is never as good again.

Like I said an interesting match, Hordle ought to have won and probably deserved to but, for what seems the umpteenth time lately, I have to give credit to West for playing to the very end.
