Just thought that I would bring this thread up to the top again, as this has cheered me whilst working away in Norway.

HBL and 'arry' what Pearls of Wisdom you both speak.

HBL' Only two teams realistically can win it'

and even better

arry ' Rovers in the final theyll be lucky if we dont put 40 points past them have another try mate'

Now HBL, I have had some good stuffings over the last few seasons from your very good second team, but sometimes, just sometimes things go wrong, remember 2004 cup final. 13 All draw and 35-30 Rovers in the Replay.

Now where do I start with 'arry', shutting people like you up is what rugby is all about, you are quite a pundit Eddie Butler must be quaking in his Wales top. Granted our lads must have played well last night as without question you are a younger, fitter and more skillful team, but saying what you said not very clever really!

6-6 against a team of overweight, old talentless has-beens Oh! I think that my sides are splitting.

Remember rugby is a strange game.

i very much doubt old boys would enter their 1sts next season as its a bit harsh on the lads who graft to keep the 2nd team going every week and look forward to the magic of the cup

Then there is no pioint in having any cup competitions. Follow your logic HBL and you would only ever have a final with the two nominated strongest teams taking part.
As we all know cups are all about upsets and tradition.

I remember several years ago playing for the Heughers and walloping the Stags in the semis and beating Horden in the final. So it goes in circles HBL, some years certain teams appear stronger than others but that does not mean others should be excluded

Hey guys fom a club outside your area i hope you will permit me to comment. From what I have seen over many years, Hartlepool, has always been ( dont quote me to the rest of the county particularly those premidonas from Darlington clubs ) a huge advert for the game and a fine upstanding area to uphold as an example of rugby doing well against modern day adversity. You should if at all possible hang on to your traditions, help each other out and support all the clubs and in particular keep rugby going at your local schools.

Sorry had to say it, as coming from a place as big as Sunderland with only the odd year group at school playing rugby in the largest populated city between Leeds and Glasgow, you have a lot to be proud of and preserve. Banter is great of course but also fight for rugby for all of you.

Cheers !

i do think hbl has a good point you could have pool 1st seaton 1sts west 2nds, rovers 2nds, horden 2nds and tech in one cup, in the other ath, bbob, horden 3rd,pool 2nd, seaton 2nd. sounds a good idea from the big lad

as for chubby chaser go and take your face for a sh!t

Hey Up HBL

On the strength of the Pyman Cup semis and final the pecking order would seem to be:

1st West Stags......
2nd Rovers Heughers (drew 6-6 with the Stags)
3rd Hordle Hordleonians (lost to Stags 10-8)

Can't argue against that can you?
