Malton and Norton would have to beat Horden by 72 points to qualify for the play offs and without being too cocky that seems unlikely. We still have to beat them down there to win the league and that will be a hard task as they are unbeaten at home this season, I have to mention the kicking display on saturday when despite the blizzard wind and rain Andrew Turner kicked 16 out of 16 and scored two tries for 44 points. I for one have never seen anything like this in all the years I have watched Rugby.

You are too big and too hard to correct Bill, but Malton & Norton need to beat you by 36 pts not 72, but it is still a very unlikely scenario.

Hope you go there and do them on April 22 and go up on a high

Yes Roy if they score 36 points without reply then we would also have conceaded 36 points. Wellfield Grammer has a lot to answer for.

Bill - if you go up can we all come to Horden for some of that soup ? As much as we can eat ?

a 36 point margin is by no means unlikely. They are a great team (malton) at home and horden have let themselves down on there travels recently ala 4th bottom redcar.
How northern have done so well is the biggest surprise. Hordon and malton are far better teams.

Robok,

Sounds like you're still smarting from 1994 at Loftus :-)

We could still go down there, get beat, and still win the league. That is providing we get beat by less than 36 points and Northern get beat AT Consett. Consett can be a funny team away from home. :-)
