The proposed leagues are still to be approved by the RFU after Durham and Northumberland officials seeded those clubs who had opted to enter the league structure. Those who didn't want to join will remain in the CaNDY leagues.
Most North East clubs, however, have joined the Counties leagues which have now been split into North and South divisions to accommodate 24 teams, with both of our teams in the southern section. (Clubs won't be allowed to have two teams in the same league regardless of promotion or relegation).
The highest placed team to enter the structure is Tynedale Raiders. They will be in North East Counties One (Level 7) alongside the first teams of Peterlee and Horden and Old Boys.
