Cheshire beat Devon 50-38 in last season's final at Twickenham. However, they will arrive having been beaten 33-15 last week by Northumberland in a game played at Percy Park. At the same time a young Durham team were going down 42-26 to Cumbria at Kendal.
West prop Adam Hutchinson joins the five club mates who turned out at Kendal. He will start alongside hooker Hayden Hodgson, whose line-out throwing was a feature of the Durham set-piece, with fellow prop Jack Angus providing cover from the bench.
We will also see the West half-back pairing of Joe Cholmondeley and Jobe Roxby in action. Roxby was at full-back last week, but regains his usual position in a back line which will see Peter Youll in the centre with Consett's South African top-try scorer Kevan Slow belying his name on the wing.
County sides entering Division 2 of the Championship select players from Level 5 (the level above West's current Regional 2) and below. Players registered to clubs above level 5, such as Billingham's Martin Hopley, can be selected if they haven't made a first team appearance during the season.
