Medicals are also in contention with six games to go - although they are now four points behind West after their honourable defeat at Percy Park last week.

We won the first encounter 20-13 with Medicals showing lots of youthful speed and enterprise across the pitch. It was yet another game where we conceced a try from the very last play to give our rivals a losing bonus point.

Two decent squads will be travelling with a few changes in the starting line-up for the Firsts.  Tim Blades and Danny Cookland are both unavailable, fortunately Adam Hutchinson is back from his injury and together with Tom Robertson (pictured) has been one of the stand-out former Academy players this season. Hutch will be at loosehead while Tom drops to the back row to accommodate the returning Jake Linghan.

Linighan once again partners Craig Hadwen. Last week "Crazy Craig" and Tom Robertson formed an interesting second row with one twice the age of the other - with the veteran awarded Man of the Match.

In the back row Chris Atkins takes over at No 8 from Andy Turner who has work commitments. Andy scored twice last week in the eight try win over Novos, but was persuaded by teammates that he had scored a hat-trick and therefore had to buy the beer. He won't do that again.

Scott Butcher was once again in top form last week and it's a bonus that he's able to travel this week.

The backs are unchanged with Zac Southern providing cover from the bench and Alex Barker and Ollie Webster covering the forwards.
