Off to 'Dale
A young squad is heading of to Rochdale for the first warm up game of the new season.

There will be a couple of dozen players on the coach including a handful of promising 17 years olds in the shape of Jake Linighan, Matty Siddle and  Adam Brown.

Aaron Myers, Liam Checksfield, John Bunter and Liam Bailey aren't available ,but Lee Maddison will be starting in the back row after his return from Rovers. Lee has looked among the fittest in pre-season and he'll pack down alongside Danny Boatman and Sam Miller. Paul Moss is also in the squd and he too is lookinmg fit after returing to the club.

The game is part of a big fundraising effort for the MIND charity in memory of Rochdale player Anthony Philbin who sadly passed away at the age of 25.

Great to see the young lads coming through and getting a chance. They'll enjoy the trip.

Should prove a useful tester for ALL the lads. Fantastic to have those 4 as non travellers. Looking forward to a great season. C'mon WEST!!
