Colts Kick Off New Season
The Colts get the new season underway with the visit of Darlington this Saturday ... kick off is at 1.30 ...

Ninety minutes later the First XV and Stags also play their first league games at Brinkburn.

The Colts will have several early kick offs while the new clubhouse is being built. When work is finished next February we will be able to provide six brand new dressing rooms and the Colts kick offs will revert to 2.15 and 3.00  with the odd Sunday game  thrown in.

The rich promise of the squad is already being shown in the lads who have already worn a frist team shirt this season - including scrum half Baden Knibbs [pictured] who has figured in the games against Westoe and Blaydon.

I'll be watching the gam. Always interested in seeing how the young talent is coming on and I've been impressed with the young lads we saw at the end of last season and those who have played in the two games so far.
It's a big step but credit to the coaches who seem able to nurse these lads along.

Unfortunately Darlington has cancelled the game citing a shortage of players, at the, moment, but they wish to play the game later on in the season.

The squad are gathering for a team run through at 12-30 until 1-30pm in preparation for next weeks match against Billingham then those that wish can join the 2nd team squad or can watch the first team in their first league match against Sheffield at 3pm.
