Injuries and absences have hit our pre-season and we will be missing some regulars in the next few weeks. Owen Bennett is recovering from an operation to repair a detached retina, Andrew Dixon is due a minor eye op in the next week or two, while Liam Bailey and Ian Pinchen cannot do contact and are both awaiting shoulder scans.
Coupled with that Stu Waites is leading a contingent who are away on holiday, but on the plus side the likes of Joe Rafferty and Gary Jackson have returned to rugby. They have been training hard alongside some promising youngsters who will form the backbone of the new Colts side.
Tom Wilson is also currently back in the UK and he will step in at fly half for this week's games.
