Colin Cheslin returns to the side and will resume at full back with Luke Mallinson moving to the wing. Otherwise it's the same side which battered away at Cleck last week as the visitors shut up shop after losing their skipper to a red  card.

Peter Youll will continue his return from the bench alongside Jack Angus who is  back from County Under 20's duty. Jay Corbett will provide cover for both the second and back rows.

That game was badly affected by the weather, and it's likely to be the same at Alnwick with rain and sleet followed by strong winds overnight and into Saturday.

The home side will be in buoyant mood after moving away from the danger zone with their best result of the season so far. Not many sides win at Wheatley Hills and certainly not by a 31-7 margin. In the previous game Sheffield were defeated 37-0 at Greensfield.

Aa result Alnwick are in eighth place, but such is the competition at the bottom of the league they are only four points clear of local rivals Morpeth who occupy the third bottom place. They have invested in drainage, both for their pitches and their clubhouse following flooding, but more heavy rain is forecast leading up to the game. We'll provide any updates on the message board.
