Colin Cheslin
So far so good but now a local derby to test the resolve of a young West side. Boro on their own turf always produce a hard working performance and we will go into the game with a couple of enforced changes ..

Both Ryan Painter and Liam Bailey have made excellent starts to the season but they have family commitments this week.

As a result Colin Cheslin starts at scrum half with Greg Edwards at centre. The latter has had to be content with a role on the bench so far this season - mainly because he is due an operation soon and will be missing for a few months afterwards.

There will also be changes in the packwhere Ross Wood has tonsilitis but fortunately  Ian Pinchen returns following his enforced rest after being laid low during the friendly with Horden.

And Owen Bennett could well make his league deiut for West. He was also injured against his old club but has made a remarkable recovery and will doubtless figure at some stage.

Boro beat newly promoted Alnwick in their first home game of the season but struggled against Wheatley Hills last week going down  36-8.

Influential scrum half Peter Wright njured his wrist in that game and will be missing.

West:  Luke Mallinson, Scott Butcher,  Andrew Cheslin, Liam Bailey, Peter Youll,  Stuart Waites, Colin Cheslin, Ian Pinchen,  Andrew Rollins, Adam Coates,  Michael Hogan,  Dan Boatman [c],  Chris Atkins,  Jon Boatman, Sam Miller Reps: Andrew Dixon, Owen Bennett, Tom Armstrong.
