Bill was presented with his West tankard by West Hon Sec Geoff Hainsworth - the only Westie we could find who may be bigger than Bill.
Bill, of course, played for both clubs and to win this year's award had to predict a host of West losses. Fearless as ever he is still prepared to be our guest at this weekend's player presentation night.
Horden will be our opposition in a warm-up game ar Brinkburn on August 31st which will also be a memorial game for Bob Bateman.
Bob's family will be travelling up to watch the game and share a glass to Bob's memory with his many former teammates and friends. Please put the date in your diary.
