Carl Robinson is the new Club Captain taking over from another front row legend in Andrew Dixon .

"Dicko" has done an excellent job in fostering the right rugby spirit in all of our players, as well as organising fundraisers and proving a dab hand on the microphone.

He is a busy solcitor with family commitments and will also continue playing next season.

"Carlo" is stronger on practical jokes than Andrew but will also show the same strong leadership where it's required.

Kevan Oliphant, the Director of Rugby says: "Carlo is a character who has been a stalwart of the side for many years and one of the most accomplished props the club has had.

"He will have a hard act to follow in in Andy who has been a very steady and sensible guiding force - not only for the club but also as  captain of the county."

Thank you for the kind words ( all 5 of you!!) and thank you to Tim, Olly and the rest of the staff for asking me to accept this fantastic role. I am honoured and proud to be the club captain of West Hartlepool, it means so much to me! I will endeavour to replicate Dicko's tenure at the helm but my main aim is to bring some quality Craic back into the club which is what I've loved about our club for 26 ish years! Let's all get behind me and we can make this club an even better place to be! Carlo
