The Bucks will have Brinkburn to themselves this week as they take on Rovers IIIs in the revived Pyman Shield on Wednesday evening and then face Acklam Talbots in the Tees Valley League showdown on Saturday ........

The Pyman game is due to kick off at 6.30 but, with sunset at 7.38 that night, the game may kick off a bit earlier if both captains are happy.

Its Rovers IIIs' second visit  the week after they triumphed against the Fourths last Saturday, but they will find Paul Williamson's team a tougher prospect. The winners will host Hartlepool IIs next Wednesday in the semi-final.

As things stand the Bucks are one point behind the Talbots at the top of the Tees Valley league. It's the last game of the season so it really will be winner takes all.

Kick off will be at 3.00 with Elmo providing one of his internationally famous bbq's with proceeds going to the West Ladies team.

The Stags are also having a rare Easter game. They're off to Morpeth on Saturday in the CaNDY league.

Acklam had more fixtures arranged than we did. In the tees valley leagues, a team gets a point just for turning up, or if their opponent cries off the in week of the match.

We've actually won more games than they have, but due to the way the points are allocated and the number of fixtures they had, they have more points than us.

At this point in time,

Acklam stats: played 14, won 9, drawn 1, lost 4. Another 3 were cried off by opponents. 17 fixtures in total.

Bucks stats : played 13, won 10, lost 3. 2 opponent Cry offs. 15 fixtures in total.
