What do you mean "nothing to play for". West need to win both the last games for not just the reason of no team beating us twice in the season but more importantly to then most probably finishing 5th and winning today almost guarenteeing 6th. 5th would surely mean Rovers would not finish higher than us in their league. In any case we have WEST Pride to play for!!! So let's give it to bothe of them this week and next and finish on a real high knowing where we could have finished with more committment away from home!!! Good luck to all our teams playing this weekend !!!

I think the comment was intended as West cannot go up and Mowden already won the league. I honestly dont think the players would just turn up and not be bothered and will always try, sometimes people do have a bad day at the office as it were. It happens.
Regarding the commitment on travelling, i think we also need to remember people do have other things going on in their lives and this is not their full time job or their family. All the players give what they can, remember it's still Amatuer as do the helpers within the club.

Also dont really give a stuff where Rovers end up :)

I fully appreciate everything everybody puts into the club and would remind readers that I have always emphasised that the most important aspect of out amateur game is the enjoyment first and foremost. It was amateur in my day too and I am just pointing out a fact and depends at what level the lads representing the club, "WEST",wish to perform at. I am not and never was in full support of professionalism in our game but still wanted the club to be at the best level they were capable of performing at. No disparagement intended!!!

Not sure which parade he is talking about, surely the parade is mowdens to be urinated on! At least promotion will allow them to pay the team (used loosely) wages next season! #ipredictanupset
