The Stags host Darlington Mowden Park in an attractive CaNDY One game, while the Bucks look to  cement their place at the top of CaNDY Three Central with a win over Houghton Boars

Last week’s 66-19 win against rivals  Seaton saw the Bucks go six points clear - Bucks (P14 - Pts 57), Washington (P13 - Pts 51), Seaton Carew (P16- Pts 51). The Stags are comfortably in mid-table on their return to CaNDY One having won half of their 14 games, so far,

Things are much more complicated in Regional 2 where the new play-offs are certainly keeping the season alive for many clubs.

After this week’s final league games the promotion play-off will see 2^nd v 5^th and 3^rd v 4^th. Those two winners playing off and then taking on the equivalent winner in Regional 2 North East (effectively Yorkshire) with that winner travelling to the loser of the relegation play-off in Regional One, which will see York against either  Middlesbrough or Sandal.

With Northern already promoted here is how it's looking for our play-off spots going into the final day.

It’s complicated, but the possibility is that a five point win in North Shields  could see West finish in third place, which would ensure a home play-off game.

Alternatively, the RFU this week announced that taking part in the play-offs is not mandatory. Clubs who find themselves  in a play-off place on Saturday night have until Monday lunchtime to withdraw from the competition.

Despite all of those “what-ifs” it’s the last game  of the season  against respected old rivals and the chance to end the season on a high. The two sides met at Brinkburn on the first day with West recording a 35-31 win against a side fancied to make a quick return to Regional One.

There's a few changes this week with players away on Easter breaks including Peter Youll and Jobe Roxby who misses the chance to add to his 211 points total. Matt Siddle will be at fly-half with Lewis Scott at full back and Jacob Wood on the wing with Sam Knight unavailable.

Up front Aidan Jackson-Smith is also away with Hayden Hodgson starting alongside Andrew Rollins and Adam Hutchinson. Skipper Chris Atkins returns to line-up alongside Alex Barker for whom this may, or may not,  be his final first team game.

Will Hilditch will be making a return from injury to start at full back for the Stags. Tom Carling, who has been impressing for the Bucks on his return to rugby, will be on the right wing with Stu Waites calling the sots from scrum half.
