Nice to see Jamie involved and also JP coming into the squad.

Always something to play for lads, take this game as the start of building towards a stronger club on and off the field.

Well publishing the team in the Friday newsletter is a good start to 2020, it might not seem it to some, but supporters will appreciate it.

Sad to see Peter leave the club, but he never gave less than 100%, go well at Billingham Peter.

As a club we can only look forward, full committment by players, coaches and supporters will obviously play a major part in the way ahead.

What should also be taken into account is the fact that the club is more than just a Rugby Club, it is a place where people come together from a very young age and lifelong friendships and commitment are formed.

The new coaching format will hopefully prove to be an important step change to the way we progress as a rugby club, lets hope all members buy into it.

As for the new coaching team.......errrrrm I can only presume that DP is a highly skilled Photoshop Artist.

Excellent step forward for the club, Jamie, Ian and Anthony have great experience of very aspect of the game and I’m sure they will succeed if the Club & Players get behind them, good luck to all.

Yes - good luck to everyone, especially Peter at Billingham. He will fit into their squad well - He Stood Fast & Never Surrendered.

All the best for the Pockilington Trip.

Stand Fast Boys - No Surrender !

Stags - any game tomorrow ??

Strange I never got a mention as the forwards coach being part of the coaching group 'forging a youthful first team'?? Must have been an oversight similar to when I started in the summer haha! In all seriousness I believe the three guys coming in will be a great addition and drive the club forward in a positive way. I must also say that losing Peter Youll is a massive loss for the team and the club, I can't think of a player in recent times that has been at West from juniors through all 3 senior team, developed into a stand out first team player and county player and left the club for any reason than family or work..correct me if I'm wrong. I wish him all the best and we will all welcome him back should he chose to return. We move on starting tomorrow and with the young players coming through now and over the next few years we as a club have a lot to look forward to..we need the club, supporters and players to get behind the plan set out starting this weekend. Carlo

Good luck to all today big win on both teams

Carlo
Like I was talking in the gym to a member they should do forwards training and backs both separate and then once a week come together as a team and do full team drills,

I for one admit could do with training as missed tackles and stuff like that what let the team down as if made a correct tackle whe wouldn’t of got the ball down and would of had west in front on stags other week,

Some strength and condoning work with scrums line outs and making tackles to taking tackles,

Best of luck to all that have come in to play and to the people on training side

Some excellent points, well made Mr T around specific training/coaching for specific positions (and combinations). I am sure that the extended coaching set up will enable this.

It has worked before and it will work again - just need to blow the dust off.

Very positive - well said.
