There was a blatant forward pass, at least 2 metres, before one of the first-half tries, too. When your luck's out, it stays out.
There's no way that scoreline truly reflected the game, though the best team did win in the end.
I just hope the team's collective head doesn't go down and they keep battling as they are right to the end of the season ... the youth of the squad suggests a bright future, even if the present isn't so good.

Dear god! The picken propoganda machine is really working overtime here. I've never read such a bunch of total science fiction in my life. What game were you looking at?
Enjoy your relegation.

Hi Aled. I think we've already established that you are busy elsewhere on Saturday afternoons and don't get to West games.
Must admit I was busy videoing this game and didn't get a chance to make notes as El Pedro was going to do his usual match report.
However, the El Pedros are about to have a happy event so I had to cobble something together which may be short on detail, but I think it captures the general tenor of the game.
As well as actually being at the game I also had the chance to have a chat to the referee who once again had a very good game, and who was happy enough amnd honest enough to explain any errors he might have made.

I agree with Dave Picken - and I was there, too. Sandal looked a classy side right from the off and it was a bit like the Harrogate game, tough defence with a few opportunities. I don't think the result was ever in question, but with the rub of the green we may have been able to put a bit more pressure on.

' .....(West) rarely threatened.By contrast Sandal’s pacy backs always looked menacing. '

How biased does DP's match report need to be!!

I don't usually like to comment on players' performances but I thought Sam Miller was immense.

And although once again I was not invited to the picnic, credit to Mally W. for the following:

'Can you take a quick scrum? Well why make such a stupid comment, then?'

The silence was deafening.

For a lot of this team it is their first foray into league rugby. They are learning very quickly and most importantly showing a never say die attitude. Credit to them.
