Just looked at the video ... the expression "miscarriage of justice" comes to mind, there's so much doubt involved.
I thought folk were innocent until proven guilty, not the other way round.

How he could be banned for that i will never know!! It's a joke. You can see his arms are nowhere near the incident. I think he is accidentally hit by his own player

When you feel the rest of the world is against you all you can do is stick together.

Just a plain poor decision with evidence that could never used in a court of law. I know it is a different offence but you have a better chance if you are an international on national television with many close up cameras and you stand ( or stamp ) on a head or knock people out from behind and get a few weeks off.

Very very poor decision, if this panel is a part of the rugby union and have played the game on a regular basis how can they decide on banning a player on the evidence as shown. The West player could not physically have reached the Chester player.

It looks like the policy is that because their player got an injury, the nearest west player gets a ban. which is ridiculous. I understand the need to be tough on gouging but you can only act on what is seen, you can't ban people based on what might have happened, especially when you look at the video.

Why close the other thread, Dave?
Oh, and Percy Park? You're miles out mate! I started at Chester when I was 11 - never played at Percy Park I'm afraid!

I thought West had a good relationship with Chester especially after what happened last year at West. Then out of the blue Chester cite West for 2 players in the last game and to be honest i thought they were both harsh as neither of the lads blamed are dirty players and now there seems to be nothing but hostility between the clubs???? Come on fellas, lets get back to Rugby... Yes there always will be a bit of rough and tumble in a game but West are not a dirty team at all.

I'd agree really - one clout round the ear deserves another, and that's fair enough to me. The thing that happened in the tunnel is a bit different - might as well play with a round ball if ur gonna do that!
Citings came from a genuine injury to a players eye - and a photograph that - to me - showed someone hanging an arm out after being sidestepped (we've all done that!) To me it was nothing, others disagreed.
Like I said, my beef was what happened after the game.
