As mentioned on another thread...... Tom's late try was unlucky to be disallowed, but I thought the referee was very good. He certainly had a presence about the pitch and dealt with the melee in the first half well.
I was really impressed with our fitness. When we lost against Mowden we defended brilliantly and then finished pounding their line and yesterday we simple over-powered Burnage in the last quarter. Had we played another ten minutes we would have piled on the points

Well done West, first double achieved!!! Pity about bonus point disallowed try. Reversal of the Lymm result would alter the table somewhat, but in anycase a fair return by mid season. Hopefully that fitness will be significant in second half of the season.
Any results of Stags and Fourths this weekend???

Solid workmanlike performance against a strong and well organised side. I agree about the fitness of the side a lot of which is down to their youth so things can only get better.
Also good to see JB back on the pitch and the second rows doing more than their fair share of ball carrying.

I know the Stags won, not sure of score as I was told 2 different scores.
4ths got beat, 2 points dopwn with about 6 minutes to go. Stockton scored 3 late tries to win 31-10.

Normally the Stags score is always posted on the Website on a Saturday after the game, something must have changed this week for this not to have happened!! As it happens it looks like they won 52-19.
