Rovers took an early advantage thanks to their scrummaging - scoring twice in the first half and adding a penalty to extend their lead.

The Stags responded with first-half tries from Matty Tyers and Martin Todd (left) who capitalized on a brilliant break by Greg Edwards. In the second half, the Stags applied significant pressure on the Rovers defence, with Jimmy Tyers and Charlie Kay both scoring tries.
However, the score remained tied at 20-20 going into the final minute.

As a draw seemed likely, the Stags were awarded a penalty, and with all the forwards involved, Jimmy Tyers managed to cross the line (above). Euan Devonshire added the conversion on a challenging day for the kickers.
