With Durham City next week a maximum haul of points would be a much needed tonic. Defeat in the last three games has seen the hosts slip down the league. As a result, West are just two points clear of the new play-off relegation places.
The team will go into the game after a resounding 56-19 Durham Senior Cup win at Peterlee and Horden, which included three outstanding tries from Sam Knight, Lewis Scott and 19-year-old flanker Louis Ward on his first team debut.
Several first team regulars were rested last week including Jake Linighan and Max Tennant and they return to face Wigton who were promoted from Cumbria One last season. Linighan will partner Elliott Reed who had an excellent game at Peterlee and Horden on his return from injury. Jobe Roxby also returns after recovering from injury with Mat Siddle dropping to full back.
Both the Stags and Bucks were also due to be in action this week. However, Billingham are unable to raise a second team for the CaNDY league fixture but the Bucks will be in action at Houghton Boars in CaNDY Division Three.
