It will be a game split into quarters to give the maximum number of senior players the chance for some contact rugby, with experienced ref Revis Phillips reminding them of how the game has to played.
It will be the Durham and Northumberland One side's second run-out. They lost 54-12 at Kendal last week.
The game may not be played on the main pitch, which is exceptionally hard following the heatwave. Fortunately, we have other pitches which have more grass on them.
With three teams entered in league competitions it has been an unusually busy pre-season. We have the rare treat of some new faces joining the club (below) together with a handful of former Academy players now old enough to train and play with the senior squad. They include Lewis Ward (back row), Sam Henderson (second row), Louis Weatherill-Smith (winger), Ben Stephenson (prop) and Ollie Laycock (full back). More will be stepping up as they come of age.
