The excitement kicked off just five minutes into the game when Sam Knight sprinted down the right wing to score our first try. Though the conversion was missed, City wasted no time in responding, bringing the score back to level.

Max Tennant soon found his rhythm, claiming his first try of the day. Starting from deep within his own 22, he dashed down the wing and scored under the posts, with Matt Siddle effortlessly adding the two points.

Again, City rallied, evening the score once more—was this going to be the theme of the afternoon? Unfortunately for them, that wasn’t the case.

Isaac Robinson was next to score - Roo dummies the City defence before passing to Issy.

Roo soon found himself in the referee's bad books - a yellow for laughing at a penalty decision against us.

But undeterred, we pushed on, we dominated the scrum all afternoon and this gave us our fourth try—a powerful pushover that Peter Youll capitalized on. Sid was on point, converting once more.

As the half-hour mark approached, Max struck again with his second try, launching another solo effort from deep in his half. Teammate Matty Baggs managed to tangle with the referee, but Max found his way to score, setting up a straightforward conversion for Matt.

Roo had rejoined the fray, and we could have added another - Rollo chased Roos chip ahead but it bounced into touch dashing that hope. The first half wrapped up with an impressive scoreline of 33-12.

The second half kicked off with Man of the Match, Will Hilditch, taking the reins—we launched the attack from a lineout on our 10m line, the ball made its way to Will who, despite being tap-tackled, powered over the line for another try, making it an easy conversion for Sid.

Will wasn’t done yet! Soon after, a thrilling cross-field kick from Roo bounced into Will's hands, who managed to carry his defender with him over the line. Ollie Connolly stepped up for the conversion this time, adding to our growing tally.

As the game progressed, City’s misfortunes continued when a misplayed ball was scooped up by Ollie Connolly, who chipped it ahead for Max to dart in and complete his hat-trick—Max clearly had his sights set on the jugs again!

But City weren't ready to throw in the towel; they fought back and added a third try, bringing the score to 52-19.

Just when it seemed like our momentum might wane, new signing Kieran Scollay broke through the defence, but it was Matty Baggs who ultimately crossed the line under the posts, with Sid converting yet again.

Max looked poised to extend his tally, but instead opted to offload to Andrew Rollins, who darted along the wing. The angle proved too much for Ollie with his conversion conversion attempt going wide,

However, tensions flared in the final ten minutes. Roo found himself embroiled in a skirmish with an opposition forward and, after a quick exchange, both were shown yellows - Roo receiving a red card for dissent. City seized the opportunity and capitalized on the ensuing penalty, earning themselves a well-deserved bonus-point try.

The match was sealed with Chrissy Atkins scoring a final try for West, with Sid again converting.
