Since then the Kirkby Stephen side have won four out of their 13 games and are some nine points ahead of local rivals Kirkby Lonsdale who occupy the relegation place.
The only previous league meeting between the two sides at Pennine Park was back in September 2023- West going down 45-10 in the first away game following promotion from Durham and Northumberland One.

With low temperatures and weather warnings for ice and snow the pitches will be subject to an initial inspection on Friday. Both the Firsts and Stags are due to travel - until the result of the inspections are known the coaches are limiting themselves to selecting one big squad to cover both games.
