These are the final full-scale warm-up games with the league season set to kick-off next week as the Firsts travel to Middlesbrough in Regional Two North.
It's been a promising pre-season for the senior sides with 38 lads out training last night, and that's despite the usual work and holiday commitments.
As ever the West sides will be overwhelmingly made up of home-grown players, which is a rarity in club rugby these days. Andrew Rollins is the exception, having started his rugby at Peterlee & Horden, and he makes a welcome return as a player coach following a few years at Huddersfield.
The forwards have been enjoying Rollo's training sessions and so have the backs with Peter Youll back where his better half says he belongs. Peter is also a player coach with Chris Webb taking over as head coach and looking to build on the success he enjoyed alongside Jamie Connolly, Ian Wilson and Antony Cameron.
Will Tighe has also returned to the club from Bilingham with dad Davy also getting involved, as his herd of last season's Colts step-up to senior level. With team skipper Ryan Painter at a wedding Will will start for the Firsts against Medicals.
