The Firsts are, hopefully, destined  for a comfortable mid-table finish but could still influence top and bottom in the final three games.

Northern are chasing Percy Park who currently lead by nine points. However, the pair meet at McCracken Park on the final day and our hosts this week will be hoping that Park slip up at either Middlesbrough or at home to Aspatria to set up a grand finale.

The West side looking to do Park a favour will see the  usual handful of  changes with Aidan Jackson-Smith, Liam Pennick and Jake Linighan all unavailable. Louis Adamson comes back from County Under 20's duty to start in the front row alongside Adam Hutchinson and Jack Angus, while Ollie Webster and Will Corbett continue in the second row.

Jacob Wood returns in the backs with Matt Siddle at scrum half after Matt Baggs broke his wrist playing for this college last week.

There's an interesting bench which sees Tom Robertson make a swift return to first team action, following his long lay-off following a shoulder operation,  with Max Tennant providing backs cover.

Nick Bennions  continues his meteroic return to rugby in 2024 and he'll be looking to get a run-out in the back row.

The Stags also feature a player returning to rugby with good effect. Euan Devonshire has been playing football at Wearside league level but has discoverd how much fun rugby can be. He will be at full-back for the Stags in the Pyman where squads of 20 have been approved this week.

Great to see the Pyman Cup back to the  traditional format - these games can often generate bigger crowds than first team games and mean something to everyone playing in them.
