After a fantastic season for both the Firsts and the Stags the two cup competitions - in which neither side ended up wth a home game - brought a little dose of reality. The Firsts could have done more in the first half at Cockermouth before going down down by just one point, and in the same vein the Stags didn't press home their first half superiority in the Pyman Final  at Old Boys eventually losing 17-15 ..

However, the Stags blend of youth and experience is serving them well with the coaches having a big squad of regular second teamers to call on. Connor McLurg and Charlie Kay were outstanding for the side all season and won the men of the match plaudits in the final.

Hooker Louis Adamson is a very bright prospect. After scoring the Stags first try at Mayfield Park he ran out for Durfhgam Under 20's the following day as they won 52-5 at Lancashire, a tremendous result.

Lewis Scott got the other try in the Pyman Final as his side went into a 15-0 lead,  but some changes at half-time strengthend the home side and they took the win with a late penalty.
