It was with great sadness that I read of the passing of Reg Turner. Reg had been my coach at Bay Area, where he unendingly gave his time and effort to that club, no matter how good or lets say nots so good the team was.Four hundred mile road trips, three or four times a season asks a lot of you even when you have a great team. Reg had a great influence on many who played on his teams and we are all the poorer that he is no longer with us. I will miss him.

Such sad, sad news, condolences from all in the Taylor family.

My condolences to Reg's family. I remember him well as a young lad learning to play rugby in Texas. Although, he was an oppossing teams coach, he always showed us much respect and welcomed us as a friend, as did his lovely wife.
You will be in my prayers Reg.

It is only since returning to the town a few years ago, that I have come to know Reg well.

During that time, I have continued to admire and respect his wisdom, kindness and wonderful concern for others. A true gentleman in every sense of the word.

My condolences to Joyce and family.

My prayers and condolences go out to Reg Turner's family. It's a sad day for the rugby community in Houston. I've known Reg for close to 20 years and was proud to call him friend. He was a truly a wonderful gentleman.

My condolences to Reg's family. He will be sorely missed.

I had the pleasure of coaching with and against Reg for years in Texas. I am the better for it. He was a true gentleman and epitomized the Rugby spirit.

I had the pleasure of playing with Bay Area Rugby in Texas and being coached by Reg. He showed a lot of patience with those of us who grew up playing American football and taught me so much about the game. And with Joyce on the sidelines, we always had the loudest fan at the matches. What a pleasure it was to know them. Great folks. My thoughts are with the family.

I always looked forward to attending any Bay Area game in Texas -- even as a referee -- as I knew Reg and Joyce would be there. Joyce would critique my game during play, while Reg, ever the gentleman, was always constructive in his post match comments. The Texas XXXs RFC also greatly enjoyed the company of their daughter, Sue, on our Oldies tours along with Mark. A great loss, but a wonderful legacy in many ways.

It was always a pleasure to see Reg and Joyce on Saturdays at the Rugby match. Reg was great for Texas Rugby for All of the Teams that were developing during his time here.
I still remember Joyce chasing a Galveston player off the field with an umbrella who made an unkind comment during a game.
