Sad news - Reg was a true gentleman and friend - as well as being a former West player I had the honor to play for his team in Texas (Bay Area RFC) for 2 years. I will let folks in Texas know. Deepest sympathies to Joyce and their family.

My family and I send our condolences to Joyce and the family.
Reg was the salt of the earth and a true gentleman. He bridged a generation gap in my family, opening the batting for West Cricket Club with my Dad, and a mentor on the rugby field for me. I understand West won the last game, a wonderful send-off for an irreplaceable friend.

On behalf of the Bay Area Rugby Club of Texas we are all saddened at the news of Reg Turner’s passing and our deepest sympathy goes out to Joyce, her family and West Hartlepool RFC. Reg WAS Bay Area Rugby during his time in Texas and he made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He led our club to many great achievements, but more importantly he helped form the ground work for what our club is today. He will be greatly missed by everyone at Bay Area and Texas.

We are still shocked and saddened by the news of Reg Turners sudden death.

Reg was an absolute Gent and great ambassador for W.H.R.F.C. A nicer man you couldn’t wish to meet. He had time for everybody, and gave everybody his time. He will be greatly missed by everyone at West Hartlepool RFC.

Our sincere condolences go out to Joyce, Stephen and Susan at this very sad and difficult time.

Dave, Margaret, Andrew, Mark and Helen Laycock.
