David, who has just returned from competing for Great Britain in the Nedbank Championship for Physically Disabled in Durban, South Africa, was named in the queen's New Years Honors list.

The MBE

He was awarded his MBE for services to disabled sport after his successes in the Sydney 2000 Paralympics, where he won 3 Golds, 3 Silvers and 1 Bronze and the continuation of this in last Summers Athens 2004 Paralympics, where he won 4 Golds and 1 Silver.
