DSE Short Course Championships 2009

DSE Short Course Championships 2009 Three Dragons DSC swimmers represented Wales at the DSE Disability Short Course Championships held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

Three Dragons Disabled Swimming Club members represented Wales at the DSE Short Course Swimming Championships in association with Nationwide held at Ponds Forge in Sheffield on the weekend of 21st and 22nd of November.

The event saw British swimmers such as David Roberts CBE, Sascha Kindred, Heather Frederiksen and Stephanie Milward. The event also had a new face amongst the volunteers, star of The Royle Family and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Ralf Little. He took on the role of Competitor's Steward, helping to lead out swimmers to their races on Saturday. Also present at the event was Major Phil Packer, who after sustaining a spinal injury while serving in Iraq has gone on to raise over 1 million for Help the Heroes.

The three Dragons members who represented Wales were Bethan, Jonathan and Nathan Eke. They all put in some fantastic performances and set a number of personal bests.
