Carol Roberts Wins DSE Welsh Regional Volunteer Award

Carol's DSE Volunteer Award
Carol Roberts picked up the DSE Volunteer of the year award for the Welsh region last night in a ceremony held at Lancashire County Cricket Club in Manchester. Carol won her award for her services to voluntary work in disabled sports and was awarded with a trophy and a £500 bursary which will be given to the Dragons Disabled Swimming Club.

The awards, which are held annually, celebrate the achievements of athletes and volunteers throughout Britain. The awards were supported by Nationwide, First TransPennine Express and Lancashire County Cricket Club and was attended by guests such as Premiership referee Uriah Rennie and Manchester City player Danny Mills.

Other Welsh winners on the evening were Swansea Stingrays swimmer Daniel Owen, who won the Welsh Regional Junior Sports Award and Josh Morgan of Swansea who won the Welsh Regional Sports Person Award.
