The City of Newcastle Men's Team has won the Newcastle and District League - Congratulations to Captain Bob and the Team (Phil Ridden, Alex Dixon, Jack Hermeston, Mark McCarthy, Steve Slater, Jonny Todd, Simon Coultas, Gary Owen and Neil Elborn).
We shouldn't forget the contributions made by the caddies throughout the season, some of them team members plus Patrick Small, Steve Taylor, Zak Laws and Liam Shanley - many thanks for your efforts.
An outstanding season setting a new highest total for a season at 144 points beating the previous record by 2 point.
Also we need to congratulate Phil, he tied the individual points total 28, 14 wins and one defeat. He is the "Best Player" in the league.
We should also congratulate the others as Simon was second; Jack was fourth; Mark was eleventh in the singles race. Simply outstanding to have so many players in the top 20.
