Our last game of the season against table toppers Northumberland.  A very good support from the away team. Once again our supporters were out in force, hoping to see some good golf, and they were not disappointed. A prematch gathering with players and caddies bonded the team.

Another warm evening, the first birdie of the evening came from Alex on the first. However, the County match play champion Andy Minnikin, went on to win his match. Jack seemed very focused on his match, birdied the 16th to win his match 3/2.

Simon also winning on the 16th 3/2. Jonny our leading point scorer (24), winning his match 6/5.    

Neil was up against an inform Darren Smith who was 7 under after 12 holes. Neil’s match also finished on the 16th. Steve our anchor man birdied the 16th to win his match 3/2.

A buffet provided for the team and supporters was enjoyed by all.

We congratulate Tyneside on winning the Newcastle and District League.

May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who had supported the team throughout 2013.

It has been a great pleasure to witness some great golf, and throughout this journey have met some wonderful people. Best wishes to everyone at the City for the remainder of the season.
