6          Matters Arising

There were no matters arising.

7          Accounts

Summary: Overall income, including subscriptions (73) opening cash balance,

Senior Men’s Open Raffle (£136.00), Club donation (£75.00) generated £1011.59.

Expenditure includes the annual subscription to the Northumberland Senior League (£20.00), & costs borne in relation to the drawn trophy competitions. It is acknowledged that the Xmas Trophy was cancelled on three occasions by reason of adverse weather, albeit costs in part reflected in these accounts. Therefore, a healthy reserve of £540.85 carried forward.

8          Subscriptions 2013/2014

Whilst some additional costs are likely to be encountered –  lite bite costs and bottle prizes , it was AGREED that the subscription remain at £5.00

9          Competitions

Competitions could be better supported by members in the coming year.

Congratulations to the winners, particularly Les Nicholson on winning the championship for a third successive year.

10        LEAGUE

The team captained by Alan Johnson enjoyed a comparatively successful season securing a credible 4^th final table standing missing third place by 2 points.  Recording: 5 wins, 4 draws and only 3 losses.  During the season 25 members participated in more than one match.  Player of the year is Alan Johnson closely followed by John Stephenson. It was pleasing to note the introduction of a number of new players to the league – experiences they enjoyed.

            FIELD DAY

Played at Ponteland Golf Club on Thursday 6^th September 2012, the team returned a solid 141 points (Best 4 scores) with the hosts winning by 2 points.  A deserving second place after winning the team competition in the previous two years. Thanks to all team members,

11        Any Other Business

Alan Johnson suggested organising a Seniors Section  golfing  away day  - not too far distant to be played in summer months.  Agreed to post a notice canvassing interested parties.

Thanks extended to Lew Nainby for organising the Seniors Open Golf day raffle which netted £136.00 – a significant contribution to section funds.
